Equine Associate Veterinarian


Equine Sports Medicine & Surgery Weatherford Division, PLLC (“ESMS”) seeks a progressive, enthusiastic, business-building associate to help grow and develop our practice by providing quality chiropractic, acupuncture, and general veterinary medical care to patients in the Weatherford area, and occasionally at other ESMS locations throughout the United States. This position will include providing ambulatory, outpatient, in-hospital, and emergency on-call service.

ESMS is a large and growing 100% equine practice. Our Weatherford Division referral hospital is state-of-the-art, employing more than ten veterinarians, including two boarded surgeons, a boarded internist, and providing 24-hour emergency, critical care and surgical services.

ESMS is a very progressive practice utilizing the latest technologies including: hyperbaric oxygen therapy, digital radiology, gas anesthesia, ESWT, Stem Cell & IRAP, digital ultrasound, 1-meter & 3-meter video endoscopy, in-hospital laboratory, etc. We also have an excellent team, including several RVTs and a large and well-trained support staff.

Qualifications - The successful applicant will be an experienced, ambitious, entrepreneurial-minded individual with a desire to be part of a team of veterinarians working together to provide high quality sports medicine to our clients. We seek a team-oriented Associate with excellent communication and people skills; a strong work ethic; a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment; a desire to provide the exceptional client service necessary to grow the caseload; and a keen interest and experience in equine sports medicine and lameness. The successful applicant will possess a DVM or equivalent, certifications in acupuncture and chiropractics, and eligibility for licensure in Texas.
